Coastal Cottage

Our Coastal Cottage project was designed as a welcoming retreat for a family with adult and teenage children, created to support gathering, relaxation, and connection across generations. As the family grew and evolved, the goal was to design a home where everyone could feel comfortable, at ease, and truly at home.

The design emphasizes light, texture, and livable materials layered throughout the space. A coastal palette rooted in a blue kitchen design set the tone, with subtle hints of blue carried throughout to maintain a cohesive, relaxed feel. Architectural detailing plays a key role in adding warmth and character, from shiplap walls and ceiling treatments to applied trim, beams, and thoughtfully layered finishes.

Ceiling details in the foyer, kitchen, and primary bedroom, along with trim and wallpaper moments in the dining room and bedrooms, create visual interest without overwhelming the space. The result is a bright, textured coastal home designed to evolve with the family and support everyday living with ease and intention.
