What a week! Trade Mark Interiors and teams have been super busy over here at The White Elephant! We are excited to share with you this One Room Challenge update! We have completed the demo, new floor joists, and subfloor. Now we’re ready for the pretty materials! Tile is going in on the floor, shower floor, shower curb, and shower walls. It’s an exciting time when the materials start to come together. I selected many patterns for the pool bath remodel so there is a ton of visual interest going on. I’ll share all the tile details next week when we’re further along in this One Room Challenge!
Simply Mauvelous!
The minute the floor tile was complete, Campbell’s Cabinetry delivered and installed the most fabulous little bathroom cabinet for our special project. We started planning a while ago to be sure the pool bath cabinet arrived in time for installation. I decided to just go with it and selected a painted cabinet with the best name ever – Mauvelous! How fun! We all know that mauve/dusty pink is having a real moment right now and we are 100% here for it! I love to have extra design fun in small bathrooms. These are the spaces to really stretch your design muscles.
It’s All About The Details
Design is in the details and this little gem is no exception. We incorporated open and closed storage to make this the most functional and user-friendly bathroom cabinet possible. The closed storage was important to hide the plumbing, the TP, and other bathroom necessities! I wanted the open storage to roll up the bath towels and have them ready to grab-n-go for our guests. I think we nailed it!
The cabinet door style is a modern shaker with a reeded inset which is yet another pattern I added in the space. The small scale truly just adds texture to what otherwise would have been a ho-hum little bathroom vanity. With the style of the cabinet door, it was a necessity to use the ledge pulls for cabinet hardware. Once the countertop is installed, these will hardly be noticeable. This cabinet hardware is not the star of the show!
Stay tuned next week for lots of bathroom tile details and to see the tile in its final phase. Wow, it’s getting serious now as we’re halfway through this One Room Challenge!!
